8 fat quarters required or use 16 and make 2 quilt tops

This pattern isn’t difficult but having experience with a rotary cutter and rulers is helpful. You can use measuring, marking and cutting with scissors if needed. 

A rotary cutting mat large enough to fit fat quarters on would be best to make cutting easier. 

Note: If your fabrics have a directional print know that at some point the prints will be sideways or upside down.
